2004 Findings:
  • 98 of the FTSE 100 companies include CSR information on their website, and 81 include a full report.


  • Only 30 offer any form of interaction - feedback form or debate facility - and 21 do not provide any CSR contact details.


  • Of the FTSE 250, 131 mention CSR, 85 have case studies and 59 a full report.


  • 121 companies (2 FTSE 100; 119 FTSE 250) have no mention of CSR at all.


  • Only 44 of the FTSE 100 and 26 of the FTSE 250 provide direct links from their annual report or IR pages to dedicated CSR sections of the website.


  • The majority of FTSE companies do little to engage stakeholders in CSR activities via their website. Only 12 of the FTSE 100 and 7 of the FTSE 250 websites use Flash and only 4 provided any video or audio content.
